Tonbara Sports & Entertainment Signs High Point Forward Terry Anderson

Big South Tournament MVP led Panthers to program-record 31 wins and the first NCAA Tournament victory

TORONTO / MIAMI / NEW YORK — Tonbara Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce the signing of Terry Anderson, a forward who recently completed his collegiate career at High Point University.

Anderson, a 6-6 forward from Deer Park, Texas, capped one of the most decorated seasons in High Point history during 2025-26. He was named Big South Tournament MVP after leading the Panthers to back-to-back conference championships, a program-record 31 wins, and the school's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory — a first-round upset over Wisconsin.

Averaging 16.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 55.3% from the field, Anderson earned Big South First Team All-Conference and NABC First Team All-District honors. He led the team in scoring and rebounding, recorded seven double-doubles, including a career-high 31 points and 11 rebounds against Radford, and scored in double figures in 29 of 36 games.

In the NCAA Tournament, Anderson scored 15 points and had eight assists in a hard-fought Round of 32 loss to Arkansas, which end 15-game winning streak — the nation's longest active streak at the time.

Anderson's path to High Point exemplifies the persistence that defines his game. He began his college career at UA-Cossatot in Arkansas, where he earned NJCAA All-America honors, was named Region II Co-MVP, and set single-game school records with 40 points and 24 rebounds. As a sophomore, he averaged more than 20 points and 13 rebounds per game while leading his team to the NJCAA National Tournament.

He then transferred to Lamar, where he earned Second Team All-Southland Conference and Southland Conference All-Tournament Team honors in 2023-24, before making his final move to High Point.

At High Point, Anderson helped the Panthers win three consecutive Big South regular-season titles and become the first Big South team to win back-to-back tournament championships since Winthrop (2019-21).

"Terry is a winner — Big South Tournament MVP, conference champion, NCAA Tournament winner, and All-American at the JUCO level," said Deion Adams, VP, Basketball at Tonbara Sports & Entertainment. "He's efficient and versatile, and he has proven he can produce at every level he's played. We're excited to help him take the next step professionally."
