Top-4 finisher at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships joins Tonbara's multi-sport roster across Toronto, Miami, and New York
TORONTO, ON — Tonbara Sports & Entertainment today announced the signing of Katelyn Fung, one of Canada’s most promising diving stars and a standout member of the Canadian National Diving Team. Fung joins an elite multi-sport roster that includes professional athletes across football, soccer, hockey, and Olympic disciplines.
A 21-year-old platform specialist from London, Ontario, Fung is currently training at the Canadian Diving Institute in Montréal under legendary coach Yihua Li. Her 2025 season was a breakout on the world stage: she captured the Canadian Senior National Championship (10m platform) and secured a 4th-place finish in her individual debut at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore—making her the only Canadian woman to reach that final.

Fung’s story is among the most compelling in Canadian sport. A third-generation Canadian with roots in Hong Kong, she transitioned from competitive gymnastics to diving after a friend’s suggestion at a March Break camp at age eight. That first jump defined her career path; today, she balances an elite international schedule with a Health Sciences degree at Queen’s University.
