Tonbara Sports Client Sophie Hudson Signs Professional Contract with SC Bern

Queen's Gaels captain joins the Swiss PostFinance Women's League.

TORONTO / BERN — Tonbara Sports & Entertainment is proud to announce that client Sophie Hudson has signed a one-year professional contract with SC Bern in Switzerland's PostFinance Women's League. The agreement includes a PWHL out clause, preserving Hudson's ability to join North America's top professional women's hockey league if the opportunity arises.

Hudson, a forward from Maple, Ontario, joins the Swiss club following a decorated collegiate career at Queen's University. In her final season, she served as team captain and was named the 2025-26 OUA East Division MVP and a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian.

The 5th-year forward led the OUA in both points (31) and assists (18) while guiding Queen's to first place in the OUA East. She recorded 13 goals, including three game-winners, overcoming a mid-season injury to post one of the most dominant offensive seasons in program history.

SC Bern competes in the PostFinance Women's League, Switzerland's top women's hockey league. The club is part of the storied SC Bern organization, one of the most successful hockey clubs in Swiss history.
