OUA East MVP joins hockey division following a dominant fifth-year season at Queen's

TORONTO / MIAMI / NEW YORK — Tonbara Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce the signing of Sophie Hudson, a forward who just completed a record-setting season with the Queen's Gaels women's hockey program.

Hudson led the Gaels and the OUA in both points and assists, finishing the season with 31 points and 18 assists. She tied for the OUA scoring lead with 13 goals in 21 games, including three game-winners, helping Queen's finish first in the OUA East Division.

Hudson was named the OUA East Division Most Valuable Player for the 2025-26 season and was named a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian, capping a dominant final campaign in Kingston. She was one of five Gaels to earn a major OUA award this season.

Hudson overcame a difficult mid-season injury, thanks to her perseverance and determination, allowing her to continue making a tremendous impact both on and off the ice. A fifth-year player from Maple, Ontario, Hudson is also a Chemical Engineering student—demonstrating the same discipline and work ethic in the classroom as on the ice.
