Tonbara Sports & Entertainment Signs Ontario Tech Forward Julia Jackson

Three-time team MVP and 100-game OUA veteran joins hockey division

TORONTO / MIAMI / NEW YORK — Tonbara Sports & Entertainment is pleased to announce the signing of Julia Jackson, a forward who just completed her final season with the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's hockey program.

Jackson skated in her 100th career OUA game this season, marking the occasion with a three-point night in a 4-1 victory over the Western Mustangs. She followed that performance the next day with multiple assists in a 5-4 win against the Toronto Varsity Blues, capping a six-point weekend that earned her OUA Athlete of the Week honours.

The 2025-26 campaign capped a decorated U SPORTS career. In 2024-25, Jackson led the OUA in goals with 14, earned OUA All-Star recognition, claimed her second consecutive Ridgebacks team MVP award, and was named Ontario Tech Female Athlete of the Year. She finished her time in Oshawa as a three-time team MVP and one of the most consistent offensive threats in Canadian university hockey.

A native of Uxbridge, Ontario, Jackson completed a Master of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech—demonstrating the same discipline in the classroom as on the ice.
